This weekend just gone was the end of year seminar and grading for Aikdo Shinryukan Canterbury. The grading was held on Sunday and we will shortly post photos and perhaps some video footage.

The seminar was held on Saturday from 10am until 4pm. The seminar was of course taught by Takase Shihan and around 50 students from ASC attended. Although the techniques taught by Takase Shihan were deceptively "simple" the target of the seminar were the senior grades. Takase Shihan carefully worked & explained the use of your centre as a projection of a "cone". He focussed on bringing the uke to and expanding from the centre using the cone concept. The lower grades were not left out and also clearly enjoyed Takase Shihan's instruction but I think the largest gains were for the seniors if they were observing closely. Great and invaluable fun!!
