I know many kids have friends that they would like to bring to aikido to try it out.

Consequently next week (3 – 8 May) we will hold “bring a friend” where you can bring a friend who is interested to aikido and help us teach them their first aikido lesson. For all the kids classes next week please bring along your friends (the classes are free for them). And of course if they go on to join you get a free movie ticket!!!

There is an invitation below you can print out for them.

Kids open up dates for 2009

• Rangiora dojo - Saturday 7 February
• Burnside dojo - Monday 9 February
• Linwood dojo - Tuesday 10 February

The full results for the kids grading can be seen below.

The kids grading was held on the 23 November, with a little over 50 kids grading.

The standard was excellent and the examiners and instructors were very happy.

The grading results will be posted shortly, in the meantime, you can view the pictures below.

Here are the official results for the kids grading which was run last weekend. Well done to everyone that took part, it was a really good grading and everyone's behavior was very impressive.

The Kids 17th anniversary photo is now available for viewing and should be up in the Burnside Dojo shortly.

If you want a printed copy of the anniversary photo then contact James McNeill. A4 size, photographic quality paper and inks. There is a sample in the Burnside dojo. $6 each.

The Burnside dojo is opening a little earlier for the kids this month. On Mondays and Wednesdays at 4pm James McNeill is opening up, and the first 30-40 minutes before the class formally starts is a chance to work on breakfalls.
